Finding an available domain name can seem impossible! The Brute Force Naming Tool works on the premise that there are still a clutch of awesome .COM domain names to be snapped up. It unearths these undiscovered gems by allowing you to input beginnings (e.g. b, c, d, f), middles (normally vowels) and nice sounding endings - iterating through all combinations and printing a list of .COM domain names that are still available. What's more, if the domain name is undiscovered, chances are you'll be able to grab the Twitter and Facebook usernames as well!
I wrote this tool to find an available domain for my project. My first run tried 2,400 combinations, and only 92 were available! From the 92 domain names, I shortlisted eight (picking those that were easy to spell and sounded nice). The final step was to conduct a straw poll - soliciting votes from friends and family.
